A fascinating read- I have been interested in mediation for a while and enjoyed Tim Park's description of his trials and tribulations with meditation and the positive impact it has had on his life particularly with reference to his dealing with persistent pain. However the book is not just about meditation but is also an account of the various things he tries to cope with his pain and also a detailed discussion of words, their use and how words impact our lives and particularly the author's as the tools of his trade. A very enjoyable, easy to read book- part self-help and part a memoir about a specific time in his life.
