Lisa Jewell can be a bit hit-and-miss I find - reserved and waited for this due to a couple of fairly breathless reviews I'd read, but it didn't work for me...self-absorbed people, a pretty unrealistic plot and, most of all, too tedious...man, it's long and dense and actually not that interesting. Skipped to the last chapters (no, really, cardinal sin that!!) and though 'ho hum, trying just a bit too hard for the surprise denouement there'. It's okay-ish I suppose....
