Aimed at an adult audience - not sure why it's listed as a teen read. Ha-Joon is a Cambridge University professor with intellectual clout, but he delivers a clearly humble and humorous, easy to read critique explaining the dominance of free market economics and it's blatant role in the financial crash, which neo liberals refuse to accept as the rest of the population find themselves having to live with the austerity measures they so readily insist on. He gives solid examples of more responsible and successful approaches and policies that have been adopted by governments and industries, ultimately paving a more sensible way forward for all us. A must read for anyone wanting to understand the mess we are in, how we got there, who is responsible and the best way out of it.
