This was such an easy book to read. Set in assisted living accommodation it could be depressive and sad, but it's not, it's gentle, witty and full of funny lines. Florence tells her story whilst lying on the floor after a fall waiting to be found between the hours of 5 & 11. During this time she goes back to her youth when the mystery at the heart of the story begins, and resurfaces a month before the fall. The supporting characters, handy Simon, Miss Ambrose, Ronnie, Gabriel, Jack are all wonderfully drawn. This is about ageing, dementia what the future holds and memories from the past, oh and the third thing about Elsie is not revealed until the very end.
